Facebook sweepstakes contest launching the Gondwanaland Opals Facebook page
Wayne Roland Brown, the founder of Gondwanaland Opals, has been involved in every aspect of the opal business for thirty years; from mining, cutting and polishing stones to designing jewelry. Opals have always been a passion of Wayne's and his custom one-of-a-kind pieces set him apart in the world of fine jewelry.
A longtime email marketing client of Richlyn's, Wayne recently decided to add social media to his marketing mix. Richlyn created a Facebook sweepstakes contest launching the Gondwanaland Opals Facebook page, which garnered the brand over 900 new fans and doubled the size of their email list through organic referrals alone. No advertising funds were spent to promote the sweepstakes.
The sweepstakes was such a success that Brown plans to do another giveaway first quarter of 2012.
